Sweet Saturday #21 - cherry brown betty recipe

You will need:
a tin of cherries about 450g
200ml cherry juice from the tin if you don't have enough top up with orange
150g white breadcrumbs
50g brown sugar
50g butter

4 ramekins

preheat the oven to 190c gas mark 5
divide the cherries between the ramekins and add the liquid
melt the butter in a frying pan and add the breadcrumbs
cook for a few minutes then add the sugar cooking until golden
sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the cherries
bake for 30 minutes
